RECENT OBITUARIES Carroll Curtis Willoughby Carroll Curtis Willoughby, 80, of Elizabeth, formerly of Chuckatuck VA, on February 28, 2009 at home. Beloved husband of Eileen Holder for 30 years. Loving father Melanie Willoughby of Lawrenceville NJ, Thomas Willoughby of Woodbridge NJ and Stephen Willoughby of Middletown NJ. Stepfather of Eileen Sorbera of East Rutherford NJ and Joseph Holder of Elizabeth. Brother of Clair, Marion and Gladys. Also survived by 5 Grand Children. The Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, N.J. Cremation will be private. Mr. Willoughby was a dispatcher for Goldsmith Transportation in South Kearny for 20 years and retired in 1996.He was a Marine during the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion Post 69 Carlstadt and the VFW of Bayonne. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Legion Post 69, Carlstadt, NJ in Carroll Curtis Willoughby’s memory would be appreciated.
