RECENT OBITUARIES Helen Bridget Walano Helen Bridget (nee Waters) Walano, 85 of Westfield, N.J. passed away on October 12, 2011 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Beloved Wife of the Late Anthony Walano, Sr. Helen’s pride and joy was her large loving family. Loving Daughter of the Late Catherine and John Waters of Elizabeth., NJ Devoted Mother of Catherine Maher, Susan Hazard, Anthony Walano, Jr., Mary Ann Moast, Grace Hintenach, John Walano, Christine Neal, Ellen Stefanik and the Late Thomas Walano. Dear Sister of Margaret Cordes and Theresa Waters. Also Survived by twelve Grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Helen was born and spent most of her life in Elizabeth, NJ. Employed as an Accounting Clerk for the County of Union Finance Department for 18 years, retired in 1993. She was a devout parishioner of St. Catherine RC Church and a member of the St. Catherine Senior’s. She was also a member of the Irish American Association and the Joseph Nugent Association. Visitation will be Friday, October 14. 2011 5:00 to 7:00 PM Internment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Newark, N.J.
