RECENT OBITUARIES Frank G. Volturo Frank G. Volturo, 77, Lifelong resident of Hillside, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Frank was the Beloved Husband of Ruth (nee Sanford) Volturo. Loving Father of Glen and his Wife Lori and Gary and his Wife Brigitte. Devoted Grandfather of Francesca, Georgiana, Amanda and Frank. Mr. Volturo was the Building Inspector for the Township of Hillside for twenty five years, retiring in 1998. He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 and the Army Reserve until 1962. He was a Member of the Unico National Hillside Chapter, the Italian American Civil Association and the Thomas F. Canty Knights of Columbus and the Zoning Board, all of Hillside and the Union County Building Inspector’s Association. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, NJ. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, 8:00 AM here at the Funeral Home then to a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Church, Union, NJ. Internment at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, N.J.
