RECENT OBITUARIES Helen M. Starr Helen M. Starr, 98, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Mountainside, N.J. and Hillside, N.J. passwed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Beloved wife of the late David Starr and loving mother of the late Douglas B. Lyon. She is the beloved aunt of Lorraine Romeo, Joseph Stano, Jack Stano, Bruce Stano, Fran Trendler, Diane Lyon, Edward Stano, Jeannie Love, and the late Robert Stano. The Funeral Service will be held at the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, N.J. on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, July 10th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Mrs. Starr was a switch board operator at Bristol Meyers in Hillside, N.J. for over twenty-five years, before retiring in 1974. She also was a Volunteer at the Red Cross for many years.
