RECENT OBITUARIES Jean E. Starkey Starkey, (nee Nielsen) Jean E., 79 of Hillside, passed away at Home on Thursday, November 13, 2008 after a long illness. Mrs. Starkey was the Devoted Mother of Kristine Hudak and her Husband Barry and Matthew Stanwick and his Wife Theresa. Dear Sister of Carl “Skip” Nielsen, Jr. and the late Richard C. Nielsen Sr. and Janet L. Leamon. She is also survived by her loving Grandchildren, Ian, Katherine, Daniel and Victoria Hudak and Samantha Stanwick. The Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 5-8 PM with the Funeral Service at 7:30 PM, at the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, N.J. Mrs. Starkey was born in Oxford, Pa., and has lived in Hillside, since 1954. She was a member of the Enighed Lodge # 84 Danish Sisterhood of America in Newark, N.J. She worked as an Office Clerk for Ferdon Equipment Company in Union for 17 years, retiring in 1986. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Center for Hope, Scotch Plains, N.J.
