RECENT OBITUARIES Leonard G. Skiptunis Leonard G. Skiptunis, 89, of Hillside, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J. Survived by his dear Sister Veronica Skiptunis and predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. Funeral from the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 8:15 AM. The Funeral Mass will be offered at Christ the King Church, Hillside, N.J. at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Visitation will be on Friday 7-9 PM. Leonard was born in McAdoo, Pennsylvania and lived in Newark prior to moving to Hillside 50 years ago. He worked for Conmor in Newark for 30 years retiring in 1985. He was a Communicant of Christ the King Church in Hillside and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Rev. Thomas F. Canty Council, No. 3197also of Hillside.
