RECENT OBITUARIES Anna Scherbenco Anna (nee Powell) Scherbenco, 84, a life resident of Hillside, N.J. died Monday, July 6, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Scherbenco was an edit clerk for Bristol Meyers in Hillside, New Jersey for fifteen years before retiring in 1984. She is the past secretary and trustee of St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Church, Newark, and a member of the Hillside Senior Citizens. Mrs. Scherbenco is predeceased by her Beloved husband, Benton Scherbenko, Loving sister of Michael Powell, Rose Capite, Kathleen Boliver, William Powell and the late Elizabeth Tarka.
