RECENT OBITUARIES Stuart Jay Ross Stuart Jay Ross, 67, of Long Valley, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, N.J. Stuart was predeceased by his beloved wife of 42 years, Barbara Markowitz Ross and was the Husband of the Sandi Ring Mattson. Dear Brother in law to Stanley Markowitz. The Memorial Service will be at Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, N.J. on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 12:00 Noon. Inurnment will follow at B’nai Jeshrun Cemetery in Hillside, N.J. Stuart was born in Elizabeth and lived there until 1975. He then moved to Long Valley. A Graduate of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster Pa., and received his Masters Degree from Rutgers University New Brunswick. He was an Educator for the Elizabeth Board of Education for over fifteen years, retiring five years ago. He was a member of Grouse Hall Edwardian Shooting Society in Phila., Pa, the ¾ Morgan Owner’s Group, Northeast Chapter, the Rolls Royce/Bentley Car Club and the Jaguar Auto Club.
