RECENT OBITUARIES Silvio Rizzolo Silvio Rizzolo, 89, Lifelong Resident of Newark, N.J. passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at The Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, N.J. Loving Son of the late Leonard and Mary (Napoliello) Rizzolo. Beloved Husband of Anna (nee Spomer) Rizzolo. Devoted Father of Donna Trenelli and her husband James. Dear Brother of Minnie Rizzolo, Leonard Rizzolo, Marie McEntee and the Late Michael Rizzolo. Loving Grandfather of Tara Di Pianta and Great Grandfather of Isabella and Victor Di Pianta. Also survived by nine nieces and nephews. Silvio was a Manufacturing Chemist for the Chase Chemical Company in Newark, N.J. for forty five years, retiring at the age of 75. He was a Communicant and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a Member of the League of Decency. He was a Secretary for the Waverly Park Association and a South Ward District Leader for the City of Newark. He was a high school graduate of Barringer High School and attended Seton Hall University. He served in the US Army during WWII as a Medical Staff Sergeant. Funeral from the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 9:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas the Aquinas RC Church, Ludlow Street, Newark at 10:30 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-5 and 7-9 PM.
