RECENT OBITUARIES Rafael Mediavilla Rafael Mediavilla, 91, of Hillside, died on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, N.J. Beloved Husband of Eusebia (nee Ibanez) Mediavilla. Devoted Father of Patricia Zenere and Rodolfo and Rosalina Mediavilla. Loving Grandfather of Richard, Katherine, Anthony and David and Great Grandfather of Margaret, Matthias, Henry, Christian and Gigi. Also survived by one Sister in Spain. Born in Cuba, Rafael had lived in Astoria, Queens and in Hillside for the last thirty six years. He was a Bartender for the Fornos Spanish Restaurant in New York City, New York for 25 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Casa Galicia in New York for many years and also a member of their Thespian Group. He was also a Veteran of the Spanish Civil War. Funeral from the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, N.J. on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 8:45 AM. The Funeral Mass will be held at The Church of St.Catherine of Siena, Hillside. NJ. At 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, N.J.
