RECENT OBITUARIES Stephen Kozarek Stephen Kozarek, 92, resident of Hillside, N.J. for fifty five years, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Newark, N.J. Beloved Husband of the Late Frances (nee Sujkowski) Kozarek. Devoted Father of Stephen M. and John Kozarek. Dear Brother of Irene Kuzy and predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. The visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The Funeral from the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, on Saturday, May 23, 2009. at 8:15 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Christ the King Church, Hillside, N.J. at 9:30 AM. followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Born Passaic, Mr. Kozarek worked as a Special Delivery Person for the U.S. Postal Service in Hillside for many years. He was a member of the K of C Council 3197 and the VFW both of Hillside, N.J. He served in the Army during WWII and in the fighting 69th in Europe.
