RECENT OBITUARIES John Michael Kosar John (Butch) Michael Kosar, 68 of Hillside, N.J., passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Cranford Health and Extended Care Facility in Cranford, N.J. Mr. Kosar was the Beloved Husband of Claire (nee Haury) Kosar. Devoted Father of John, Chris and Keith Kosar. Dear Brother of Barbara Kosar Mandall. Also survived by six Grandchildren. The Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, N.J. The Funeral Service will be private. Mr. Kosar was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Hillside for the past forty years. He worked as a Long Shoreman for the Consolidated Freight Company in Newark, N.J. for thirty three years retiring in 2004 and was a member of the Teamsters Local # 478. He was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
