RECENT OBITUARIES Peter Koochis Peter Koochis, 74, of Mountainside, N.J. and Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Peter was the Beloved Husband of Julia (nee Mehalechko) Koochis. Loving Father of Cynthia Bayer and her husband Patrick and Stephen Koochis and his wife Carol. Dear Brother to Ann Mellinger and Devoted Grandfather of Krista and Stephen Bayer. Funeral from the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, N.J. on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 8:30 AM. The Divine Liturgy will be held at The St. Nicholas Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in Elizabeth, N.J. at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, N.J. Visitation will be held Thursday, 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home. Peter was born in Newark and lived in Mountainside and Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was employed at the Bristol Meyer’s Squib Company in Hillside for twenty years, retiring nine years ago. He was a Member of the St. Nicholas Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in Elizabeth, N.J. He received his Master’s Degree at the Miami University in Miami, Florida. He Served in the Air force during the Korean Conflict.
