RECENT OBITUARIES Louis C. DaRos Louis C. DaRos, 91, of Stewartsville, N.J. formerly of Hillside, passed away on February 25, 2009 at the Triumph Hospital, Easton, Pa. Funeral from the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, on Monday, March 2, 2009. at 8:45 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Christ the King Church, Hillside, N.J. at 10:00 AM. followed by burial at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, N.J. Beloved Husband of the late Vera (McGilloway) DaRos. Devoted Father of his Son Thomas and his wife Donna DaRos and his Daughter, Carol Kulpan and her husband Bruce. Also Survived by his loving Grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica DaRos. Born on October 7, 1917 in Pittston, Pa, he was the son of Emma and Marco DaRos of Vittorio Venito, Italy. He worked for many years as a Machinist for Conmar-Scovill in Newark, N.J. Memberships include IAM Lodge 340, VFW Post Pittston No. 635 and the Knights of Columbus, Father Canty Council 3197 of Hillside, N.J. Mr. DaRos was a T/Sgt. in the Army Signal Corp in World War II, serving as a Cryptographic operator. He was stationed mainly in the Philippines and was awarded three Bronze Stars.
