RECENT OBITUARIES Edward R. Chory Edward R. Chory, 86, of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away peacefully at the Elmora Hills Health Care Center in Elizabeth on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Beloved Husband of Martha (nee Hayas) Chory. Devoted Father of R. Larry, Dr. Edward T. and Keith Chory, and Denise Schroepfer and Janice Johnson. Dear Brother of Mary Tripodi, Theresa Chory, Virginia Hudik, Joan Lizambri and Joseph and Michael Chory. Also survived by eleven grandchildren. Born in Poland, Pa. and graduated from Point Marion High School, Point Marion, PA., he enlisted in the Navy and was sent to the Great Lakes Medical training Center. He was assigned to duty as a pharmacist mate on board the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier. Upon his discharge, he attended South Eastern University at night while working for the FBI as a fingerprint classifier. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Accounting. As a Special Agent of the F.B.I, he was assigned to Norfolk Virginia, then New York City. He retired from the Newark Office after 30 years. He was a member of the F.B.I Retired Agent Association, the Knights of Columbus Council # 3197 and the Past Vice President of the Columbian Seniors, both of Hillside. Funeral from the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 North Broad Street, Hillside, N.J. on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 9:15 AM. The Funeral Mass will be held at The Church of St.Catherine of Siena, Hillside. NJ. At 10:30 AM. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, 2 - 4:00 and 7-9 PM. Entombment will be at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer¢s Association, Greater N.J.
