RECENT OBITUARIES Yolanda Abich Yolanda Abich, D.M.D passed away on July 7, 2009. Yolanda loved life but especially adored her family. She had a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews whom she leaves behind: Gigi (Emilio), Jon-Paul, Manuel Adrian, Abraham, Vanessa, Joshua, Jorge Daniel, Estela and the newest addition, her great-niece Chloe. She is also survived by her two sisters: Georgina and Xiomara and two brothers: Diego and Jorge, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is pre-deceased by her beloved parents, Diego Abich (1973), Zenaida Abich (2008), and her brother, Pedro Abich (2008). Yolanda was born and raised in Santiago, Cuba and graduated from the University of Havana with a degree in Dentistry. She later came to the United States where she attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ and received a second degree in Dentistry. Yolanda served her community as a Doctor of Dentistry for many years both with a private practice and within the Elizabeth Public School System. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A celebratory mass will be held in her honor on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
